Saranac Lake Adventure

Each year in the fall I make a trek up to Saranac for a fishing/camping trip for 3 days and 2 nights. It's our official "no wives, no kids, just the guys" trip. I started going in the early 90's with my Father in Law and a few other guys. When I met Jon and found out that he had a similar interest in the outdoors (and a boat), I had to get him up there. So since 1999 we've headed up and fished for pike, bass, perch and .... peace. We've tried to stay on the same island each year which is also the one I used to stay on when I went with my Father in Law. It feels like coming home now when we get there and it's a bit sad when we have to leave.
You will notice as you go through the years as the photography technology migrates to digital, I took many more pictures. We also managed to start actually catching some fish. Each year has it's own share of memories and adventures as well.
You can access each years adventure from the main menu or click on a link below.
1999  --  2000  --  2001  --  2002  --  2003  --  2004  --  2005  --  2006  --  2007 -- 2008
Well, as you can see, we had 10 years of adventure at Middle Saranac Lake, and we are going to end this chapter. We are still going to have our annual fall adventure, but new locations are being discussed. Of course I will keep all the memories of those trips intact so we can relive them.  Click here for the new Annual Adirondack Adventure page and the 2009 entry.
